Quite a surprising bit of news here. Lotus has basically given its seal of approval to Mansory, that crazed performance car tuner that can turn a Panamera into a vivid blue and canary yellow monster or a Rolls Royce Ghost into a really ghastly being. The photos you see here is of a Mansory badged Lotus Evora were taken from Lotus' website and it also stated that this is "the first toe in the water" for a Lotus customization program that somehow Mansory is a part of. Shocking, positively shocking. The Mansory Evora gets white paint with carbon fiber trimmings. This allows the Evora to have a two tone look that is aggressive and somehow pretty subtle looking compared to some of Mansory's recent showcars. You get a carbon splitter, carbon side duct inserts, carbon side skirts, a carbon lined roof, engine cover, rear spoiler as well as a carbon diffuser at the rear. At least it isn't in lilac or orange with bronze or purple as its two tone color combo. If that happened, a lot of people would go blind at the Mansory-Lotus Evora's official unveiling at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.It is surprising that Lotus chose to go the Mansory way instead of doing their own customization program. This is especially so after last year's announcement of a whole slew of concept cars that included the new Esprit (above)scheduled for either the end of this year or early 2012. Why can't Lotus just redesign some new bumpers and lights in the same style as their own concept cars instead of going with a tuning house? They looked pretty stunnung, especially the Esprit I saw at the Kuala Lumpur Motor Show recently. What do you think? Jot down your opinions at the comment box below! There are no comments on this entry
