PRLog (Press Release)– Mar 17, 2011– Defence Estates (DE) has awarded energy saving specialist Mark Group, contracts worth £2.2 million to install external wall insulation measures on properties at Strensall Park, York and Poole in Dorset.
The two contracts have been awarded to Mark Group as the UK chrysler 's largest installer of energy saving measures, as the Ministry of Defence (MOD) strives to improve the thermal efficiency of its housing stock nationwide.
The properties at both sites are of solid wall construction and external wall insulation measures installed by Mark Group will not only help to reduce the MOD acura 's carbon emissions, but also lower energy bills, improve comfort levels for residents and regenerate the external appearance of the properties.
Justine Biggs, Mark Group Business Development Manager, said: "External wall insulation is a specialist application and ideal for the housing stock at both Strensall Park and Poole. Work is already well underway at Strensall Park and Mark Group will start installing measures at Poole later in the spring.

Improving insulation is just one of our simple, but effective, environmental initiatives designed to improve the quality of accommodation for our Service families by providing a more comfortable home with lower energy bills."
